  Chapter 1

At midnight, I saw a full moon. I was in the car with my boyfriend Jared as he was driving to his place.

And suddenly, a face popped up in my window. It was an unknown blue creature with no pupils or eye sockets. It was all transparent.

I screamed and Jared asked me in horror, what was wrong. I told him about the things I saw, but he just glanced back at me as if I was some type of mental case.

Later, we both went to his house. I walked inside of the bathroom, but suddenly, the spirit appeared once again.

This time, it was lying in the white tub. My eyes widened in shock. I saw the spirits entire body. The body was a pale, sickly shade of blue. It was covered in scabbed over wounds and, like zombie; bits of skin were flaking off. Crusted around its mouth was what appeared to be blood, dry blood.

I screamed in terror and Jared came rushing inside. The spirit was gone. He laughed at me and mocked me after I had explained everything.

He said that I was delusional and simply seeing things. He said that I was hallucinating and that I had lost my mind.

  Chapter 2

Later, I was chatting online with a friend on Skype with the name of Jenna.

I told her about all of the strange things that were happening to me the previous week. She was surprised and got really worried about/for me.

She asked if I had gone to the doctor and I said, "Yes."

She asked, "What did they say?"

I replied, "Most of them have found absolutely nothing wrong with me. They ran psychological tests and said I was fine. If you too are going to think I am crazy just like Jared, then that's the end of it."

She replied, "Marie. This is really freaking me out!"

I began worrying about myself. I couldn't even hold my breath for just a couple of minutes...

I asked her if she believed me or not. Then, I left my phone for two hours and then went to check....but I didn't see a single notification.

Wait....is that the notification sound right? I went to check out if she had replied yet....

She replied. I opened her message and began reading it.

"Marie. I wish you the best of luck in the rest of your life. I will cherish and never forget the childhood memories that we had. I am so terribly sorry, but from now on....we are not best friends and please do not ever talk to me again."

I began bawling in tears. I had lost my boyfriend and my best friend. What else was I going to lose now? Myself?

I was already done with the stupid ghost that was trying to ruin my entire life.

As soon as I could, I tried moving on and forgetting. I wanted to pretend like it was some kind of twisted and sick nightmare.

I got into bed and attempted to fall asleep, but it was useless. I kept getting up and I decided to go to the kitchen to drink some whiskey.

Within an hour, I was drunk. I was plastered and I took off my clothes and began dancing like a slutty college girl.

Suddenly, I heard a peculiar noise coming from the kitchen area.

I went to see what was going on in there....

  Chapter 3

I went to where the odd sound originated from. I found nothing.

I went to sleep trying to convince myself that it was some kind of nightmare that was going to end shortly. As I was preparing my bed to sleep once again, I heard that same voice.

But this time, it was coming from the bathroom closest to me. I went in there to see what was happening inside there.

I entered and I did not find anything. When I looked in the mirror, I saw a ghost again that was right behind me.

I screamed and then suddenly, I was unable to open my eyes. I didn't know why and I ran very fast without controlling myself.

After running for almost a mile, I opened up my eyes and found myself in a giant black garden. I thought I was dead for sure.

  ---

  "Hey there!"

This was whispered by a ghost with a horrifying sound.

"Who are you?" I asked bawling in tears.

"Who am I? That is the secret." The ghost said calmly.

"Please leave me alone!" I said bawling in tears once again.

The ghost said, "Let's just be friends. I promise to never hurt you."

"Friends? You are a ghost and I am human, that isn't possible."

"Yeah so? Actually, I do not know why most of you think that ghosts are so evil."

I took a deep breath and said, "To be honest. I never believed in this paranormal thing up until now. I heard that most of you were evil and some ghosts weren't. I want to know something though, if you were really kind....why would you make me lose my friends and break up with my billionaire boyfriend."

The ghost said, "Nice question. I did all of that to show you what fake friends are like versus real friends. See, they left you alone in your time of need."

I said, "Well you are right, nobody loves me in this world and I am not deserving of love. I lost everything, even my parents were lost in an accident. I hate my entire life."

I replied while washing off my tears.

"I will always be here for you. I will be your friend, trust me you will not regret this and I promise to never hurt you." The ghost said in a calm and nice manner.

  "Thanks."

I had a smile on my face.

The ghost said, "Don't mention it."

I replied, "Tell me more about yourself."

The ghost said, "Ask me whatever you want."

I asked, "Why is there blood filling up your purple face?"

  Chapter 4

"Ghosts are usually people who have died, but the spirits are still somewhere lingering around. Some are horrifying, others are neutral and some like myself are even friendly."

I gave him a death stare before asking, "So you were a human that just died?"

  "Yes."

  "Do I know you?"

"You will never know because I am already dead. You will find eventually later on in the future."

"Okay, can I know your name?"

"Nate. My name is Nate, but you will not remember me."

Out of frustration I finally said, "I might remember you if I knew more about you. I mean like how we met and why you want to be my friend."

  "It can never happen."

  "Okay..."

Suddenly, I saw myself falling into a big floor. I opened up m
y eyes and I was in the same place that I had been the whole time. I was in the bathroom.

Imagine yourself standing and talking with a ghost and suddenly you fall inside of a big black floor only to find yourself in the same place that you had been standing in. Isn't that weird? Ugh, I hated my life. Everything was going from bad to worst. Wait, was it that voice again?

"Stop saying that. How can you say that, do not forget that I am a kind and friendly ghost. I can unleash my horrifying side anytime as well."

"Oh my goodness, I am sorry. I didn't mean it in a mean or offensive way."

  "Okay, bye!"

  "Bye!"

After leaving, I went to sleep constantly thinking about him, which was the unknown. I had the worst nightmare ever, I finally knew who I thought this 'unknown' was but I wasn't positive about it.

  Chapter 5

There is a way to bring back a loved individual after death. I don't recommend it though, death is final and cheating it always leads to terrible results.

It felt like the short time after I had woken up; it felt as if everything wasn't real and as if you aren't fully awake still. I opened up my eyes and began thinking about the nightmare that I was having.

I found myself standing in the center of what looked like a giant alleyway. I looked around me. A horrible stormed seemed to have just ended. The place was a disaster.

I took a deep breath. An icy chill ran through my throat, into my lungs and down my spine; I shivered. The sky was covered with clouds.

I peered around at my surroundings. I noticed that my senses were overwhelmed; my eyes were seeing everything. My brain though couldn't process all of the information correctly.

I turned my head towards the left where I saw an old brick wall standing. The brick was barely visible; mold and dirt was covering most of the surface. It was evident that once upon a time, this wall may have stood proudly. However, now it was practically rubble.

It was broken and jagged; it was clear that time did not favor this wall.

A rather great vine rose from the concrete sidewalk and curled against this brick wall like a giant claw that was reclaiming. I saw a lifeless body; I think it was Nate's.

  ----

"Don't be scared." A sound whispered.

While crying my eyes out, I replied, "Okay!"

He washed up my tears and kept reassuring me that he would never hurt me. I told him that I thought I remembered who he was.

"Are you Nate from the GUC?"

"GUC? You won't remember me, so stop trying."

"Stop lying, I saw your body right over there."

"How dare you, GHOSTS do not LIE!"

"So explain that body over there."

He looked at me with no fear, anger or excitement on his face. I just saw nothing in his eyes. He had absolutely no emotion in his eyes.

I was more than certain that my face had nothing but fear plastered on it. I felt horribly uncomfortable and I didn't know why. Every bone inside of my body and every thought in my head told me to run. Instead, I was standing still right there.

My body had just stopped responding, it was like I was paralyzed.

"Well, that isn't my body? How are you sure?"

"I am not very sure. I thought it was you because it's the only dead body that I saw here. I just automatically assumed it was yours, I'm sorry!"

"Well make sure you aren't lying because I am beginning to gain my wrath."

"I apologize and I promised to you that I wouldn't repeat it again."

The ghost finally said, "Apology accepted."

  "Thanks!"

After mentioning him, I woke up from the nightmare. I began screaming repeatedly as it had been the worst of the nightmares. Thank god, it wasn't real.

The next day I woke up and nothing happened. However, I still felt horribly uncomfortable.

  Chapter 6

I haven't done anything different than that day. It started off rather normal. I woke up to the incessant buzzing of my alarm clock. I groggily got out of bed and proceeded over to the bathroom to freshen up. After a simple breakfast of eggs and toast, I began drafting a letter to my ex because I was missing him so damn much.

  November 2nd, 2014

  New York City

  Dear Jared,

I am writing to you because I miss you. I would love to believe it can go on forever, I've grown tired of our silly routines. The sparks have faded and I cannot help but hold myself fully responsible. From the very time I looked through the windows of your giant Manhattan tower, I knew that you were special.

You were different from everyone else and I still to this date, believe that. There's something so desirable and interesting about the way you handle yourself. The things you do when you believe you're truly alone. Watching you is what has kept me here for so long.

In fact, I vividly remember that first time I saw you sleep. You were so peaceful and right when I feared everything was wrong about you. I thought I would grow bored and tired of you so early. You surprised me, you loved me. You were never like the others.

There is no way that you can have been like the others. That is why I fell in love with you so quickly. You intrigued me. Nothing made me happier than being able to spend time with you and to be able to see you in your very natural state. Did you know that people are most themselves when nobody else is looking or around?

I have crossed mountains and oceans to find you. Now, you are gone. I am sending this note because you, Jared, mean everything to me. I hope you receive it Jared, you are missed. I pray they you will find it in your heart to come back. I need you.

  Your love,

  Marie

Full moon? I decided to go to sleep. Then, I heard another sound coming from the other room where I wrote this letter in. I got worried, I was hoping it wasn't the voice of the ghost.....

  Chapter 7

I entered the room and I found absolutely nothing. I only found some blood inside of the letter. Was that normal? Where did that much blood come from?

A weird sound whispered, "From me!"

"Who are you and what do you want?"

"I am the one you went searching for about 3 years."

"Jared? That cannot be you. You told me that your name was Nate, are you lying to me?"

"I could not tell you my real name and you are the only liar here okay. You broke my heart and hurt me twice. You do not know what happened to me once we broke up. I became miserable and I died from all of that pain."

I cried my eyes, "You're right I don't deserve to live or be loved in this world."

The ghost stood next to me and said, "But I still love you!"

"Jared. I hurt you so many times, and you still love me?"

"I was just reminding you because you began to forget almost everything."

Overwhelmed with tears, I finally said, "You're right. You still have the right to seek revenge. I don't, I will die soon....do not worry!"

The ghost said, "Do not deal with suicidal feelings and thoughts."

  "No I just need to."

  He clammed up before disappearing.

  "Jared, Jared! Where are you?"

I was standing terrified and hysterical. I thought again of the suicide, because why not? I went to the balcony and began talking to myself. Then, suddenly he appeared once again.

He whispered in my ears, "If you are feeling suicidal, please stop. I don't want to talk you out of your bad feelings. I am not a psychologist or a therapist. I was just like you, I know it's not easy. Only someone who knows what it feels like to be in pain can help you. You are troubled and thinking of ending your life. Everyone makes mistakes; that does not mean you should kill yourself. Suicide is NOT a joke."

"I must die Jared. I hate my life and all I do is make the wrong decisions, mistakes and errors. I prefer meeting god instead of staying in this whole piece of crap world."

"If you committed suicide, god would never forgive you because you're the one who gave up and gave him your soul. That isn't ri
ght."

I shouted, "Then tell me what the hell I should do right now."

"Go to your room and drink some coffee while holding on, okay?"
